About El Salvador Finca El Ausol

This is the only washed lot we have bought from Maria Elena Avila de Muyshondt’s acclaimed farm El Ausol in El Salvador. It is the sister farm of El Topacio, another estate we have sourced two natural lots from this year through HiU coffee.

Maria Elena has turned her family’s farms around in recent years to focus heavily on quality production, and has since been rewarded for her hard work at recent Cup of Excellence competitions placing 1st for a lot from El Topacio in 2009 - and subsequently 2nd for a lot from El Ausol in 2010.

We are proud to be able to carry her coffees at MTC Group.

About HiU Coffee

MTC are excited to have recently begun a relationship with the newly established HiU coffee company, who are doing some very interesting things with honey and natural processed estate microlots from El Salvador and Panama.

Graciano Cruz launched HiU in 2010 at the Specialty Coffee Association of Amercia’s Annual conference, and is focussing on implementing quality programs to produce small lots scoring 85 and above from traceable estates in both Panama and El Salvador. Owner and producer of two successful quality focussed farms himself - Los Lajones and Emporium in Boquete, Panama - Graciano has turned his hand to working with other producers to produce unique microlots for the specialty coffee market.
